Friends of Peter Parente are asking supporters to please join them in their efforts to elect Peter Parente to the City Council in District 3. A special fundraiser is scheduled for Peter Parente, Republican-Independence-and Conservative Candidate for New Rochelle City Council District 3. The Fundraiser will be held at the popular Juliano’s Restaurant, 700 Main Street, New Rochelle, N.Y. and will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
The suggested donations are Supporter $75.00, Supporter Couple $125.00, Partner Couple $250.00. People who would like to attend are asked to RSVP to John at (914) 355-9131. Peter Parente will recount his story, first published by Talk of the Sound, of how he pulled the plane wreckage from Flight 175 out of the building at the center of the controversy over the proposed site of an Islamic Center and Mosque.
There will be a special campaign kickoff and rally to launch Peter’s bid for the District 3 Council seat. Meet up with the many supporters as they join together to tackle the issues and face the challenges of the 7th largest city in New York State. Regarding the unfortunate murder of Kevin Williams that occurred yesterday afternoon in New Rochelle. Peter Parente stated,” My family and I were stunned when we heard the news. My condolences go out to the Williams family. I can only hope that their questions will have answers so they can begin to heal. I have faith in the New Rochelle Police Department. I know they will do everything within their means to insure that those responsible for this crime will be brought to justice. We’ll pray for Kevin and his family.”
There are many concerns and issues currently on the minds of the residents of District 3. All of these issues, in one way or another fall under the heading of quality of life. Serious flooding in certain neighborhoods, uncontrolled development, taxes, crime, police and fire services, the preservation of New Rochelle’s historical buildings and locations, and support of our military and veterans are some of the issues Peter will be focused on.
Mr. Parente recently stated, “I love this community and the people who live here and if elected I intend to work hard to make a positive difference in these very important areas for all of the residents of District 3.” Peter further stated,” I enjoyed a wonderful childhood growing up in New Rochelle and feel compelled to do my best to see that my son and all the children in New Rochelle enjoy the best possible quality of life as they grow up here.”
As Peter’s campaign moves forward, many people from both sides of the political spectrum; liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans and independents are coming together to support Peter in his effort win a seat on the New Rochelle City Council (District 3). This is happening because so many people who know him are aware of his honesty, integrity and character. So many people who know Peter Parente are aware of his love for the New Rochelle community and for his country.
The many successful projects that Peter has undertaken have benefitted all who live in New Rochelle. Peter Parente made those projects successful because Peter is a leader with an inherent ability to bring people together for the good of a cause and for love of community.
Peter Parente is a life-long resident of New Rochelle, and in contrast to his opponent, is a nine year resident of District 3 and Peter is well aware the issues of his community. As Peter moves forward in his campaign to make District 3 and New Rochelle a better place he will attempt to get to know as many of you as possible. If you have any doubt about Peter’s character, when you meet him and talk with him, his energy, honesty and integrity will become obvious to you.
Last Wednesday evening Jim Stowe’s widow, Roxie was appointed to fill the vacancy until the end of the year. Peter extends his deepest condolences for her loss and wishes her the best in her service to the city.
